The Cottage Children’s Center prides itself in offering a high-quality Pre-Kindergarten program. Our Program not only meets but exceeds the Massachusetts curriculum frameworks and NAEYC standards. Cognitive, physical, emotional, and social development is promoted through our developmentally appropriate, child-centered curriculum.
We plan thematic units in response to students’ unique needs, potentials and learning styles. We seek to develop partnerships with families to enhance learning and to help celebrate different cultural or home backgrounds. We also seek to develop partnerships with others in the community to further enhance our curriculum.

Opportunities to Learn & Explore
The content in the Pre-Kindergarten Everyday Mathematics program provides the students with a balanced curriculum that is hands-on. Students learn through play which promotes the learning processes of exploring, experimenting, imagining, and creating. Throughout the year, the children have an opportunity to participate in movement and dance, music, theather arts and visual arts.
